We were really not sure how well Eli was going to handle the beach/sand/ocean. He tends to not like to get dirt on his hands and so we figured the sand might bother him. He ended up loving playing in the sand with us and we made tons of sand castles. He never warmed up to being in the ocean. He loved talking about the ocean and seeing it from afar but he was terrified when we got close. It was wonderful having a pool at the house to retreat back to when we needed a break from the warm sand. Here are a few of my favorite pictures of our ocean time!
My dad and Brandon spotted a shark at one point. Then, the lifeguard kindly reassured them that "that" kind of shark doesn't usually bother people. Ha! We didn't go in the water as much after that. :)
And since Eli wouldn't go in the water... I brought the water to him. :)
He LOVED it.
